Jennifer Garner and boyfriend John Miller "slowed things down" in their relationship in the past few months, but they are apparently as happy and in love as ever.

Garner and her boyfriend have only been spotted in public together once over the past couple of months. And a source recently told Entertainment Tonight that the two decided to put a pause on their relationship to focus on their families, careers and responsibilities. Aside from her movie projects, Garner also co-parents her three children, Violet, 13, Seraphina, 10, and Samuel, 7, with ex-husband Ben Affleck. Miller also has two children with ex-wife Caroline Campbell.

However, the "Alias" alum and Cali Group CEO reportedly "missed each other" and have thus been spending more time together as of late. The insider explained that even Garner's friends are rooting for their relationship to work and have been telling the actress to spend more time with her boyfriend.

"Jen’s friends are encouraging her to spend more time with John. They think he seems to be the obvious next step in her life," the source dished.

Last week, the couple was photographed leaving the Brentwood Country Mart in Los Angeles together after enjoying a sweet breakfast date. Garner and Miller were all smiles as they chatted and spent some quality time together.

Prior to this sighting, the "Love, Simon" star and her beau were last photographed having an intimate dinner date with their pals back in Santa Monica in February.

But while they may not have been spotted in public often, this doesn't mean that they don't spend time together as a couple away from the cameras and the public eye. Garner reportedly makes sure to keep her relationship with Miller low-key by meeting up in private.

"[Jennifer is] keeping things under wraps by going away with him and seeing him in private places. She's enjoying being with him and doing it the way she wants," a source told E! News.

During a 2018 interview on "CBS This Morning," Garner may have revealed why she doesn't want to drag her relationship with Miller into the spotlight after her failed marriage with Affleck.

"What I think I've learned is that the scrutiny in your private life puts a pressure to make something happen," she explained.
