Jennifer Lawrence Addresses Stripper Pole Video On Facebook, Praises Racy Dance Moves

Aside from movie premieres and some award shows, Jennifer Lawrence seems to have been keeping a low profile despite being a world famous actress. However, following the release of a video which featured the Oscar winner appearing intoxicated and dancing on a pole, the 26-year-old released a statement addressing the incident.

On Wednesday, Lawrence explained her night out on Facebook and was unapologetic about her behavior. “I’m not going to apologize, I had a BLAST that night,” she wrote.

The actress explained that she was simply enjoying a celebration when her privacy was violated by the person who recorded the video. “Look, nobody wants to be reminded that they tried to dance on a stripper pole by the internet. It was one of my best friend’s birthdays and I dropped my paranoia guard for one second to have fun,” she explained.

In the video, which was shared by RadarOnline, Lawrence can be seen crawling on all fours while partying at the Beverly Hills Club in Vienna, Austria, on April 27. The star eventually gets up and begins to dance with her male friend who she holds by the waist.

Lawrence can later be seen swinging around a pole but comes to a stop and holds on to the pole where she seems to struggle to find her balance until her friend comes along and helps her stand up correctly.

“The Passengers” actress, who can be seen initially wearing a fitted skirt and a striped button down shirt in the video, is later seen sliding down the pole in what appears to be her undergarments and skirt.

However, in her Facebook statement, Lawrence addressed her club attire for those who thought she took off her shirt and was wearing her bra around the club. “Ps that’s not a bra it’s an Alexander Wang top and I’m not gonna lie, I think my dancing’s pretty good. Even with no core strength,” she wrote.

Although she has explained that her time at the nightclub was all in good fun, this is not the first time Lawrence has found herself at the center of a controversy. In 2014, in the midst of her “Hunger Games” fame, nude pictures of the actress, intended for her boyfriend at the time Nicholas Hoult, were leaked online.

Despite the constant media attention garnered from the photo scandal, Lawrence refused to apologize and explained her reasoning during an interview with Vanity Fair. “Every single thing that I tried to write made me cry or get angry. I started to write an apology, but I don’t have anything to say I’m sorry for,” she told the publication.

“I was in a loving, healthy, great relationship for four years. It was long distance, and either your boyfriend is going to look at porn or he’s going to look at you.” Lawrence stated.

“It is a sexual violation. It’s disgusting,” the actress told the magazine, reflecting on her violation of privacy.

Although it is unclear whether Lawrence will get authorities involved in her latest scandal, she did contact the FBI when her personal photos were leaked.
