KEY POINTS
- Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are determined to make their relationship work
- A-Rod once again flew in to the Dominican Republic to be with J.Lo over the weekend
- The retired MLB player is “making a big effort” to secure their romance this time around
After going through a serious relationship problem, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are doing everything they can to make their romance work, a source revealed this week.
The former MLB player, 45, is allegedly “making a big effort” this time around ever since they sorted out their issues, and the singer-actress, 51, is also doing her part to fight for their love, the source revealed to People Wednesday.
To show just how important their relationship is to him, Rodriguez once again flew in over the weekend to the Dominican Republic, where Lopez is currently filming her new movie “Shotgun Wedding,” to be with his fiancée.
“He flew back to spend a few more days with Jennifer. He is making a big effort, and he wants Jennifer to be happy,” the source said.
A-Rod, who turned into a commentator after his professional career as a baseball player, reportedly wanted to spend more time with Lopez before he gets busy as he is expected to come back to their Miami home before the Major League Baseball begins its 2021 season in April.
The source also noted that the pair are “doing everything they can to prioritize their relationship” as they move forward from their previous issues. Lopez only has four more weeks left to film her new project with co-star Josh Duhamel, so it’s very likely for them to reunite in Miami in mid to late April, according to Daily Mail.
Rodriguez first made the bold move of flying to the Dominican Republic on March 14 after it was revealed that they were struggling with some issues in their relationship. Around the same time, rumors were swirling that they have broken up.
During their reunion, the two were photographed kissing passionately outside of their hotel room. The athlete was spotted wearing a white shirt, gray pants and white shoes while the “Jenny From the Block” hitmaker was rocking only a white robe during the sighting.
The split rumors were then put to rest after the couple personally addressed the issue and disclosed they they were just “working through some things.” An insider close to the couple also revealed that they just “hit a rough patch” and never really broke up.
Lopez and Rodriguez officially got engaged in 2019 in the Bahamas after being together for two years. They had to postpone their wedding twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
