Jennifer Lopez Talks About Movie She Regrets Turning Down, 'Relentless' Work Ethic And More
Jennifer Lopez answered questions about work and personal life and also revealed which movie she regrets turning down in her career.
During the interview with Vogue's 73 questions segment, the 53-year-old singer was asked, "Is there a movie that you really regret turning down" to which she answered, "Unfaithful." The romantic thriller was released in 2002.
Lopez also opened up about her relentless work ethic and how she wants her kids to get that in their life as well. "What do you hope your kids learn from you being relentless?" the interviewer asked to which she responded, "That if you work hard, you can accomplish anything."
When she was asked if she thinks her kids can accomplish anything, the singer replied, "I hope so." The "Marry Me" star also shared that she finds "everything" intimidating about parenthood, especially dealing with her kids' teenage years.
The singer shares 14-year-old twins - Emme Maribel and Maximilian David - with ex-husband Marc Anthony. The former couple was married from 2004 to 2014.
Lopez was first married to actor Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998 and then she went on to marry actor Cris Judd from 2001 to 2003. The singer is now married to actor Ben Affleck.
Lopez also reflected on her ethnicity as she was asked, "What does successful representation for Latin artists look like to you?" She replied, "That we just are like everybody else, treated like everybody else, regarded the same way, represented the same way as any other human being."
Lopez opened up about her heartbreak earlier this week. She recalled her split with Affleck in 2004, when they were already engaged.
"Twenty years ago, I fell in love with the love of my life," she told Apple Music's Zane Lowe Monday. "It was so painful after we broke up. Once we called off that wedding 20 years ago, it was the biggest heartbreak of my life."
The singer noted that she felt like she was going to die following her breakup. Fast forward to this year, Lopez and Affleck started dating again and quickly decided to get married in Las Vegas on July 16. They later had a three-day grand ceremony held in Georgia.
On the work front, Lopez will be next seen in the romantic comedy, "Shotgun Wedding," which is slated to release on Dec. 28.
