Casper Smart, the boyfriend of singer Jennifer Lopez, 42, won't get any jail time for speeding but he has been slapped with a one-year probation and a $500 fine, according to reports.

People.com reported that Smart, 24, was sentenced in Los Angeles' Van Nuys Superior Court on Tuesday.

L.A. City Attorney's Office spokesperson Frank Mateljan told the magazine that Smart was ordered to pay a $500 fine.

According to Us Weekly, Smart was arrested for drag racing in April 2010. The backup dancer pleaded no contest on Tuesday.

It seems that Smart also has a history of traffic violations.

He has been cited three times for driving without a license, according to Us Weekly.

It was a misdemeanor charge, Mateljan said of the speeding charge. I do not believe we have any further pending cases.
