Jennifer Lopez's New Man Charged for Speeding [PHOTOS]

Jennifer Lopez’s new man, Casper Smart, faces charges for speeding over 100mph and illegal drag races.

Reportedly, the 24-year -old dancer has paid a $26,000 bail since facing the charges. He may face a $500 fine and 90 days in jail if found guilty in his upcoming court appearance on January 5, 2012.

Before the court appearance, Smart is also required to do 10 days of community service.

Smart has been ordered to complete 86 hours of community service for driving without a license in 2007, and as he couldn't prove that he had finished, he almost went to jail for it.

His criminal record was from 2004 - driving without a license and speeding - to 2010 for speeding in California.

He was originally arrested on March 3, 2006 for driving on a invalid license, and then arrested in 2010 for drag racing a friend down a LA freeway.

After he failed to appear at multiple required court hearings, he got three warrants issued for his arrest.

It is still unclear if Lopez will support Smart when he appears in court, as Lopez was reported to treat the relationship as a fun fling.

Jennifer Lopez was first photographed with Smart earlier this month, and she was seen flirting with Smart at Pure Nightclub in Las Vegas, Digitalspy.com reported.

“He’s a smooth talker and he obviously thinks J. Lo will be his meal ticket,” an Australian website claims Smart is making use of Lopez because he “wants to be rich and famous.”

A source says Smart has worked with David Guetta, a French house music producer and Jordin Sparks, an American R&B singer-songwriter. He may have also done background work on three episodes of the TV series Glee.

Lopez, who insists not to comment on her personal life unless she is in a serious relationship, filed divorce with her ex-husband Marc Anthony in July.
