Jennifer's body, the horror film starring Megan Fox as a sexy high school student that is possessed by an evil spirit, has gotten mixed reviews from film critics.

The site rottentomatoes.com which compiles movie reviews, rated the film -written by Juno's Diablo Cody - as rotten by Friday, with 40 percent of positive critics.

The movie has the darkness of Heathers, the edginess of Mean Girls and the absurd gore of Little Shop of Horrors. In other words, it's tailor-made for screenings at midnight and slumber parties, according to EOnline.

Jennifer's Body also stars Amanda Seyfried and Johny Simmons. It is rated R and is set for release Friday, September 18.
