On Wednesday night, "Jeopardy!" champion James Holzhauer will yet again appear on the popular trivia show during the Tournament of Champions. Before his episode airs, Jeopardy James revealed how he prepared for his return to the Alex Trebek-hosted program and the level of competition he expected ahead of time.

In an interview with KLAS-8, Holzhauer revealed that his prep had been "mostly the same" as it had been for his previous appearance, but he did make a point that he felt there would be one key difference during his second outing. After stating that he was "expecting a higher level of competition," he added that he felt as though all of the contestants were "really gonna bring it."

As for who the champ could face off against, Chicago librarian Emma Boettcher could be a potential adversary. If the two did play against each other, it would be quite noteworthy due to the fact that she was the one who ended Holzhauer's 32-day winning streak over the summer. However, the thought did not seem to bother the "Jeopardy!" phenom when asked about the potential match.

"I have great respect for Emma and all the other competitors here, but I think I can beat anyone on any given day," he said.

During his history-making run earlier this year, Holzhauer came absurdly close to passing Ken Jennings' record. Footage of his eventual demise was shared online before the episode aired, which prompted some to wonder what would happen to the person responsible for the leak.
