Jeremy Lin Girlfriend: New York Knicks Superstar Describes Ideal Girl, ‘She Would Really Love God’

Jeremy Lin is New York City’s most eligible bachelor. Ever since the Linsanity started, the New York Knicks point guard is not only a phenomenon on the court, but he is also making his way into a multitude of headlines. The media have bothered his family in Taiwan; photos of his multimillion-dollar rental apartment hit the Internet; and he has already been (inaccurately) linked to Kim Kardashian.

What everyone really wants to know is, what is Jeremy Lin looking for in a girlfriend?

The New York Post’s Steve Serby sat down with the superstar to ask him a few personal questions, including the many marriage proposals he receives from fans each game.

“How many marriage proposals have you gotten in the last two weeks?” asked Serby. “I don’t know,” said Lin. “It just depends --- you mean including Twitter and signs and stuff? – I don’t know,” he said laughing.

Lin told The Post that he does not have a girlfriend at the moment, but there are some particular qualities he is looking for in a partner.

“First she would really love God and be a faithful Christian, and then after that, I think, a desire to serve other people, to help with the underprivileged, do a lot of social work . . . great personality and easy to be around. Someone that’s definitely chill, low key, low maintenance,” he said.

Jeremy Lin surely has his pick these days. The 23-year-old bachelor has a slew of female fans eager to be “the one.” Each game, hoards of women dedicate signage to the Knicks star. “Will you be my Va-LIN-tine?” read one hopeful’s sign on Valentine’s Day. Another more risqué sign read, “Jeremy, I want you LINside me.”

After rumor spread that he and Kim Kardashian were going to go on a double date with Carmelo Anthony and his wife Lala Vazquez, angry, jealous girls took to Twitter to voice their anger. “Kim K tryna get a date with Lin.. On Sunday, Lin was confronted about the rumors. When asked if the date will, in fact, happen, the Knicks point guard denied it. “I’m not that type of guy,” said the Harvard graduate.
