Journeyman guard Jeremy Lin is back with the Atlanta Hawks after a short stint on the bench due to injury. The 30-year-old returned Monday in a loss to the Golden State Warriors, 128-111, after sitting out two games with a sprained left ankle.

Lin looked as sharp as he has all season. He played 24 minutes, finishing with 14 points on 5-9 of shooting, which included a pair of three-point plays on drives to the hoop. Lin also added five assists, five rebounds and two steals.

The combo guard has averaged 26.2 minutes per game and is shooting a career-best 50.9 percent from the field. Head coach Lloyd Pierce has used Lin as a sixth-man the entire season.

Lin missed the entire 2017-18 season with the Brooklyn Nets after injuring his right knee in the season opener. In 2012, Lin was famously the center of the "Linsanity" phenomenon, after he surprisingly became a starter for the New York Knicks and put up huge numbers while winning games.

The Hawks could use strong production from Lin. Atlanta is 5-19, which is tied with the Chicago Bulls for the worst record in the Eastern Conference.
