There is no need to fix something that isn’t broken bur for Jeremy Lin, it making a change is something that can be done for the better.

The former nine-year NBA guard shared on his social media his new jump shot that he trained for during the break of the current Chinese Basketball Association due to coronavirus. On his post, he showed his smoother stroke where he has better control of the ball, taking the shot off at the center of his body.

He also shared images of his old shooting form – where the shot is launched over his head and more to the right side – he’s used during his stops with eight teams in the NBA.

“This is the best my shots ever felt...effortless, lower jump, quicker release, more fluid and much deeper range,” said Lin. Playing for the Beijing Ducks as a foreign player, Lin credited his trainer Josh Fan for working with him during almost the entirety of his basketball career. He’s played nine years in the NBA since 2010 before moving to China and play for their top league after being left unsigned during the offseason.

The 6-foot-3 guard is taking advantage of the CBA season where he’s led the Ducks to a 19-11 win-loss card for a five-way tie for the fourth to the eighth place. They dropped their last game over a month ago against Beijing Royal Fighters where he had 20 points, seven assists, and five rebounds. He is averaging 24.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 5.8 assists in his first season in the league.

As prevention for the spreading of COVID-19, the league decided to put their ongoing season on hold and that made time for Lin to work on his game. Sportando reported that the league will resume on April 1.

In the NBA, the shooting form of young guards Lonzo Ball and Markelle Fultz was also criticized for not being in the right form and both changed their release since.
