"Jersey Shore" star reveals miscarriage
Former "Jersey Shore" star Angelina Pivarnick has revealed that she suffered a miscarriage -- and as far as she's concerned, the media bears a large part of the blame for the loss of her child-to-be.
Pivarnick appears on the August 4 episode of the recently launched syndicated show "Father Albert" to discuss the miscarriage, and tells the white-collared host that pressures created by the media played a part in ending the pregnancy.
"Everyone in the tabloids and media weren't really leaving me alone about it," Pivarnick said in the interview. "Basically I wanted it to be my personal business, and it really wasn't. It was really hard, and I went through a lot of stress, and I ended up losing the baby."
Pivarnick goes on to claim that the lack of support from the baby's father -- described as "just a guy I was with" -- also contributed to the miscarriage.
"He wasn't even there for me...he was tormenting me," Pivarnik recalled. "And it was definitely a big reason why I think what happened to me, happened to me. It was definitely a reality check."
News broke that Pivarnick, who exited the hit MTV reality series after its second season, was pregnant in late April.
"Father Albert," which premiered on July 11, airs in select cities on Fox Television Stations.
