Jessa Seewald Shares New Photos Of Spurgeon Elliot Sporting 'Cute Hand-Me-Down Outfits' From Duggar Sister Jill Dillard
Jessa and Ben Seewald can't stop sharing photos of their son Spurgeon Elliot Seewald and fans definitely aren't complaining. The stars of TLC's now-defunct series "19 Kids and Counting" uploaded the first pictures of their baby boy to the Seewald family website just one day after his Nov. 5 birth. Jessa, 23, recently shared a newer, but equally adorable, snapshot of her son sporting a look passed down from a slightly older member of the Duggar family.
As was reported by People magazine, the Christian reality star tweeted a photo of her son on Wednesday. The photo showed baby Spurgeon lying on the lap of a family member wearing a pair of striped overalls. Jessa marveled over her son's cute clothes, which she noted were hand-me-downs from Jill and Derick Dillard's son, Israel Dillard. The "Jill & Jessa: Counting On" star shared with her fans that she and husband Ben, 20, are "loving" Israel's pass downs.
Jessa shared another photo of Spurgeon on Nov. 19. At the time the baby was just two weeks old. The picture was posted to Facebook along with a caption written partially from Spurgeon's point of view. Jessa wrote that she had been "'smothering'" her firstborn in kisses since his birth. She went on to say that she just couldn't help herself as his "chubby cheeks" were calling out to her. Jessa shared with followers that she is completely "in love" with her son.
Prior to that she gifted fans with a video of the newborn preparing to take a little snooze. The clip showed Spurgeon yawning and smiling while tightly swaddled in a blanket. She tweeted the video, writing "big yawn" with a smile and heart emoji.
While photos of Spurgeon have been on the Internet since shortly after his birth, his name was a mystery until Nov. 11 -- nearly a full week following his arrival. Jessa and Ben shared a video on YouTube announcing the baby's unique name. Ben then explained the meaning behind it, revealing that he was named after a 19th-century preacher named Charles Spurgeon. He said the religious leader's teachings had a big impact on him and Jessa, which is why they chose the name. While many fans were not too keen on the couple's choice, Jessa has said that it's set in stone.
