Despite three failed marriages and an additional failed engagement, Jesse James, 43, is giving love another shot.

James, who was the center of a media scandal in 2010 when several women claimed to have had affairs with him during his marriage to then wife Sandra Bullock, is now engaged to female drag racer Alexis DeJoria.

DeJoria, currently the second woman to ever win a race in the Top Alcohol Funny Car Category, drives a 2009 Patron Tequilla sponsored Mustang and drives for her own team -- SteathMotorsports

The 35-year-old female drag racer, who is also the daughter of Paul Mitchell hair care co-founder John Paul DeJoria, took to Twitter recently to address some of the inevitable harsh comments that were aimed towards her amid the announcement.

"I used to admire you now I feel sorry for you. Moving in and getting engaged to a guy you've been dating for a month," one of her fans Tweeted her.

Alexis replied with, "Am I supposed to wait till I'm married to sleep with a man too?! Lol! You've been brainwashed into what society says is right."

While this will be James’ fourth marriage, he also shared courtship with Karla James, adult film star Janine Lindemulder and Academy Award winning actress Sandra Bullock. His most recent relationship resulted in a broken engagement to celebrity tattoo artist Kat Von D in September.
