Jessica Alba Announces Arrival of Baby Haven Garner Warren

Hollywood actress Jessica Alba gave birth to her second baby girl. Alba and her husband Cash Warren welcomed the baby, who was named Haven Garner Warren, in a hospital on Saturday.

"Hi Everyone, Hope you're enjoying the weekend. Cash and I are so excited to announce the birth of our daughter, Haven Garner Warren," the 30-year-old "Fantastic Four" actress wrote in her Facebook page.

"She was born on Saturday, weighed 7lbs (3.2 kg), and was 19 inches (48 cm) long. Healthy and happy! Big Sister Honor couldn't be more excited about the new addition to our family. Thank you for all of your support during my pregnancy. It means the world to me," she added.

Facebook and Twitter seem to be a very important part of Alba's life. So important that she is using it to broadcast some of the most meaningful events in her life.

Jessica first announced her second pregnancy in February via Facebook and Twitter. "It's been a while since I've been on FB & I thought I'd drop by to let you all in on some exciting news>Honor is going to be a Big Sister! Cash and I are thrilled and wanted to share the news directly with you so you didn't hear about it somewhere else," she wrote in her Facebook page.

According to dictionary, Haven means a place of safety or a shelter or refuge. It has been a busy time for Alba, who has been promoting "Spy Kids: All the Time in the World", which hits theaters this Friday.

Alba shared a little update just a few days before she gave birth to Haven. "I've banned my loving husband from cooking a half a pack of bacon every morning and ordering or buying five desserts for dinner every night," Alba wrote in her blog on iVillage. "I'm doing prenatal yoga and taking 30-minute walks through my last trimester, which is more than I did with Honor."

On June 7, 2008, Jessica gave birth to her first baby girl, who was named Honor, at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. Jessica was telling all her friends that it was an honour to have Cash's baby, so she named her first baby as Honor.

Jessica began her television and movie appearances at age 13 in Camp Nowhere and The Secret World of Alex Mack (1994). Alba rose to prominence as the lead actress in the television series Dark Angel (2000–2002).

Alba later appeared in various films including Honey (2003), Sin City (2005), Fantastic Four (2005), Into the Blue (2005), Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and Good Luck Chuck both in 2007.

She appears on the "Hot 100" section of Maxim and was voted number one on AskMen.com's list of "99 Most Desirable Women" in 2006, as well as "Sexiest Woman in the World" by FHM in 2007.

Alba has won various awards for her acting, including the Choice Actress Teen Choice Award and Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television, and a Golden Globe nomination for her lead role in the television series Dark Angel.
