Jessica Biel, who appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Monday, called her life with husband Justin Timberlake and their two kids a "wild crazy fun ride."
"A very wise friend of mine said, ‘One is a lot. And two is a thousand,'" the 39-year-old actress said. "That’s exactly the way it feels. You’re like, man-on-man defense, one person’s here, one person’s over there."
The actress shares two children Silas Timberlake, 6, and Phineas Timberlake, 1, with her husband. Biel explained she and her husband are currently sleep-training Phineas.
"It’s so hard to let them cry for even a few minutes,” she explained. However, she noted how the little one "did a beautiful job."
"We never really followed through with Silas in a big way with the sleep training," the actress continued. "I think it was because he was a first child, we were nervous, we couldn’t bear the thought. Now it’s like, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah, you’re going to be fine. You’re going to make it. You’ll be OK.'"
The couple kept their second pregnancy a secret, but a source told In Touch Weekly in July 2020 the couple "told very few people. This has really brought them closer together again. They’d just learned they were having baby No. 2. It was a very difficult few months for them, but they came out the other side, and now they have this beautiful little boy."
Biel and 40-year-old Timberlake's romance went public in 2007, and after dating for five years they got married in 2012. In November 2019, Timberlake came under fire after being photographed with co-star Alisha Wainwright in New Orleans.
The two were filming "Palmer" at that time, and while on a break from filming, the duo was spotted locking hands in the photos.
Timberlake took to Instagram immediately after the pictures went viral and apologized to his wife and wrote, "I apologize to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be. This was not that."
"Palmer" has been released on January 29, 2021, and it is currently streaming on Apple TV+.
