Jessica, Lachey both set to wed soon

Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, former stars of reality show 'Newlyweds', are both getting married again; albeit to different people.

Jessica Simpson's representatives confirmed to People that she is set to wed her boyfriend Eric Johnson, a former NFL star. Jessica and Eric have been dating for the past six months.

Yes, we are excited to confirm that they are engaged! her representative told the magazine. The couple got engaged last Thursday. At a recent promotional appearance in Kansas City, Simpson was seen flashing a large ring on her left hand, according to the US Weekly.

This announcement comes just a week after her ex-husband announced his plans to marry his long-time girlfriend and former MTV host Vanessa Minnillo.

The 30-year-old singer was married to Nick Lachey for three years until they split in 2005.

Jessica has denied rumours about her still not being over her ex. In an interview with Ryan Seacrest on his radio show, Simpson said that she was very happy for Nick. She also said that their relationship was over a long time ago and they both had moved on. She also revealed plans to spend Thanksgiving with fiancé and family in New York.
