Jessica Simpson Fans Think She Is Releasing New Music; Here's Why

Jessica Simpson has posted two cryptic snaps on Instagram. Now her fans are convinced she is releasing new music.

The 41-year-old actress and singer posted a photo of herself with her head bowed down as she held onto the microphone in one hand Tuesday. A day later, she shared a black-and-white image of a piano.

Interestingly, she captioned both snaps with "11.11."

Comments from fans quickly poured in, with many of them speculating that new music from the former teen pop star will be announced on Nov. 11.

A fan wrote, "Queen Jess is coming."

Another supporter thought the snaps are hinting at a new album, writing, "11 years ago was her last album, 11/11 suits you."

Another hopeful fan shared the excitement, noting, "Jess, I'm freaking out. New music?"

Simpson's most recent music came out in February 2020 when she released six new songs alongside the audiobook version of her memoir "Open Book." The project featured a collab track with Willie Nelson titled "Your Fool."

The six songs were Simpson's first new music in nearly a decade. It can be recalled that she release "Happy Christmas" in 2010.

Ahead of her memoir's release, Simpson told Entertainment Tonight that making the six songs was a cathartic experience amid her struggles with alcohol.

"The music is actually everything that inspired me to get sober and write the book because I realized when I was going down into my studio, even though I was in the comfort of my house, I had to drink to numb the pain that I was about to experience to write," she said.

Apparently, she also opened up in her book about how songwriting helped her.

"Songwriting takes me to an honest place, and honestly, I was in a dark place," Simpson wrote as per the outlet. "I just didn't know it until the words came out of me."

Moreover, she recounted how she failed to perform some mom duties because she was inebriated.

She later told her friends, "I need to stop. Something’s got to stop. And if it’s alcohol that’s doing this and making things worse, then I quit."

Simpson took to Instagram on Nov. 1 to celebrate four years of sobriety, writing, "This person in the early morning of Nov 1, 2017 is an unrecognizable version of myself. I had so much self-discovery to unlock and explore…Personally, to do this I needed to stop drinking alcohol because it kept my mind and heart circling in the same direction and quite honestly I was exhausted."
