UPDATE: Jessica Simpson gave birth to a baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson, in L.A. on Tuesday morning, according to Us Weekly. This is her first child with fiance Eric Johnson. The baby girl reportedly weighed in at 9 lbs. 13 ounces. Mother and baby are doing just fine, the source told Us.

TMZ reported Tuesday afternoon that the 30-year-old pregnant star checked into an L.A. hospital Tuesday morning. She arrived with several members of her family, including her mother Tina, her sister Ashlee and fiance Eric Johnson's parents.

TMZ noted: It's POSSIBLE Jessica has already given birth ... but we just don't know yet. So far, no word from Jessica's people.

The star's name began trending on Twitter when TMZ first published the story.
