Jessica Simpson Opens Up About Nick Lachey In New Book, 'I Knew I'd Miss You'
Singer and actress Jessica Simpson has opened up for the first time about personal journal entries after her split from first husband Nick Lachey in the new paperback version of her memoir, “Open Book.”
This new version of her book will feature handwritten journal entries from 2005, as well as touch on her experience of being sexually abused by a family friend when she was just a child.
The entires speak on the lonely nights she endured, having to deal with Lachey moving on so quickly. She admits to being scared to finish the novel because she thought she would miss her ex-husband.
"I didn't want to be married any longer but I was also afraid to be alone with 'no one to call my own but the night,'" she wrote, per People Magazine. "The house is hushed. Everything is still. I sit in solitude. To cry. To feel alone…."
“So, Nick, you’re with another already? Seems that you forgot the love you spoke to me. I’m saddened beyond belief. Alone in the dark, with no one to call my own,” she continued.
"Part of me didn't want to finish the book because I knew I'd miss you," she writes in her novel. "I didn't know it was the start of the conversation."
The 40-year-old is currently married to Eric Johnson, with whom she has three kids: Birdie Mae, Maxwell Drew and Ace Knute.
Lachey, now 47, is married to Vanessa Minnillo. The couple have three kids.
