Jessica Simpson Is Pregnant: She's Going to be a Mummy!

Not to be outdone by the news of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' divorce, Jessica Simpson added to Monday's not-at-all-surprising headlines with the announcement that she is indeed pregnant.

In spite of rumors that Simpson was hosting something of a bidding war for an exclusive on the pregnancy news, Jessica made the announcement herself, in a low-key manner: She tweeted a link to a photo of herself in a (pretty awesome) mummy Halloween costume, with the caption: It's true! I am going to be a mummy!

Photos of what appeared to be a growing baby bump over the last several weeks have prompted strong suspicions that the 31-year old is pregnant.

But it's not the first time a particular outfit has prompted pregnancy rumors -- the star has been plagued with them for years.

Simpson is engaged to Eric Johnson, but a wedding date has not been set.
