Is Jessica Simpson's Revealing Pregnancy Picture A Desperate Cry For Attention After Kim Kardashian's Announcement? [PHOTO]

Jessica Simpson tweeted revealing pregnancy photos the same day Kim Kardashian announced she was expecting a child with Kanye West.

Social media users had plenty to say about Kardashian's pregnancy possibly overshadowing Simpson's, while others focused on how the entrepreneur's pregnancy might have affected the performance her former boyfriend, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.

After Simpson shed most of the pregnancy weight from her first child, Maxwell Drew, by participating in Weight Watchers, the fashionista recently announced she was pregnant with her second child.

For a while, she was one of the most popular pregnant celebrities, but that only seemed to last until Monday when Kardashian announced she was expecting a child with West, her boyfriend of nearly eight months.

In what appeared to be an attempt to get the attention back on her own pregnancy, Simpson, 32, tweeted two revealing pictures of her bod while on vacation in Hawaii with fiance, Eric Johnson.

The first tweeted photograph was of the star, showing some major cleavage; and the other was of Simpson, showing off her burgeoning belly. She titled that photo, “Bumpin' and proud.”

She might be proud of her bump, but it seems some are preoccupied with Kardashian’s pregnancy, and they have taken note that the recent pregnancy pictures might be a desperate call for attention on Simpson’s part.

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton tweeted, “I'm sorry, you just got overshadowed Jessica Simpson!”

@KardashianFan29 wrote, “Let’s hope Jessica Simpson enjoyed the spotlight on her pregnancy, because Kimye just blew her baby bump out the window! EXACTLY :p

@horacethegiant commented, “Didn't Jessica Simpson's dog 'disappear' right before her pregnancy, and now Kim is pregnant after her cat died #illuminati.”

With Simpson in the spotlight, others took the opportunity to draw attention to Romo's less-than-stellar performance in Sunday night’s football game.

@HungoverBaby said, “A tiny little bottle on Jessica Simpson's nightstand contains all of Tony Romo's football ability.”

@NotBillWalton wondered, “Does any man ever survive Jessica Simpson? What is Nick Lachey doing these days? Hosting local telethons?”
