Jewel Gave Birth to a Boy

Goodbye country music (for now) and hello lullabies.

Country music singer Jewel and her husband Ty Murray on Monday welcomed a baby boy Kase Townes Murray who weighs 7 pounds 6 ounces, a release on her website stated.

Ty and I are so pleased to welcome our new baby boy Kase Townes Murray into the world! We are overcome with happiness - it really is as great as everyone told us it would be- better even! the couple stated in the release.

Jewel, a four-time Grammy Award nominated singer and songwriter, currently hosts and judges the new Bravo series Platinum Hit. Jewel will also release a children's themed album of original music titled The Merry Goes 'Round in August, the release stated.

Murray is co-founder of the Professional Bull Riders and a nine-time world champion. He is also a color commentator for Built Ford Tough series.

The couple has been married for 3 years.
