Jewel has joined the mommy lineup along with Victoria Beckham and Kate Hudson. The singer and husband Ty Murray welcomed a son, Kase Townes Murray, on Monday evening in Texas.

At 7 lbs., 6 oz., Kase's arrival at 7 p.m. CST was long-expected for Jewel and her professional bull rider husband. Struggling to conceive for years, Jewel was involved in an auto accident when she was five months pregnant. Though her car was hit by a fire truck back in March, her unborn child was not harmed.

Ty and I are so pleased to welcome our new baby boy into the world, she told People. We are overcome with happiness - it really is as great as everyone told us it would be - better even!

Kase will move in with the couple's Stephenville, Texas home just in time before Jewel's new children's album, The Merry Goes 'Round, drops in August.
