Is Jill Dillard Pregnant With Baby No. 2? Duggar Family Blog Shares Update

Duggar fans are used to couples in the family having large broods, but it doesn’t look like Jill and Derick Dillard are expanding theirs just yet. Following speculation that Jill is pregnant with her second child, the Duggar Family Blog is shooting down the rumors.

“Jill and Derick recently shared that they are not expecting ... yet,” the blog confirmed Tuesday. The update, which included a shot of Jill 13 weeks pregnant with her son Israel in 2014, teased that the 1-year-old’s first sibling may not be biological.

“Since moving down to Central America last year, the couple has expressed an even greater interest in adoption,” reads the post. “Rest assured that when an announcement is made, we will share it with you immediately.”

Jill and Derick haven’t been shy about discussing their family planning on the TLC series “Jill & Jessa: Counting On.” The couple, who are currently overseas on an extended mission trip, revealed in December 2015 they’re considering adoption. After volunteering at a children’s home in Central America, the pair told the cameras they can relate to Jill’s sister Jessa Seewald and her husband Ben’s desire to adopt.

“We’re definitely considering it,” Jill said. “Who knows? We came down to Central America as a family of three. We could go home as a family of four!”

Jill last updated viewers on her and Derick’s family plans on the season finale of “Counting On” in May. When she and Jessa, who welcomed her first child in November 2015, were asked by producers who will be the next sibling to have another baby, Jill hinted it would be her. “I think we will probably be pregnant as the same time. But to say who will be first, well, Israel is older … so we will see.”

While some Duggar fans may be disappointed to learn there isn’t another Dillard baby on the horizon, supporters of the Arkansas family will be thrilled to hear there is another official courtship. The family announced this month that Jinger Duggar, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s fourth daughter, is courting former professional soccer player Jeremy Vuolo. The couple was most recently spotted on a double date.
