Jill Duggar To Make 'Life-Changing’ Announcement In '19 Kids And Counting' Season 9 Premiere

The upcoming season of “19 Kids and Counting” will mainly focus on Jessa Duggar’s wedding to Ben Seewald, but she won’t be the only Duggar daughter to take center stage during the Season 9 premiere. In the episode “Jill’s Secret,” which is set to debut on TLC Tuesday, newlyweds Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard will make a “life-changing announcement,” according to the network’s synopsis.

So what show-stopping announcement will Jill make to her parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, and her siblings? For fans already in the know, Jill will reveal she's pregnant with her first child. The show was taped months ago; Jill is due to deliver her first baby, a boy, in March.

In a trailer for the new season, Jill tells the cameras she plans to visit her parent’s Tontitown, Arkansas, home because there is something she “needs to tell them.” After nervously walking hand in hand with Derick into her family's abode, Jill reveals that she “stole something” the previous day. What did she take? In an August 2014 interview with People magazine Jill said she secretly took one of her mother’s pregnancy tests after receiving several negative test results.

The rest of the "19 Kids and Counting" premiere episode will focus on Jessa’s nuptials, which took place in Bentonville, Arkansas, Nov. 1. While the Duggar brood will come together to help make Jessa and Ben’s wedding a reality, the episode's synopsis teases that Jessa may not get everything she dreamed of for her big day. “From budgeting to bridesmaids' attire, Jessa knows what she wants, but will there be time to get it?” reads the summary.

The 61-minute Season 9 premiere of “19 Kids and Counting” airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. EST on TLC. An encore of the episode will follow at 11:01 p.m. EST. Ahead of the new season’s debut, TLC will show a marathon of Season 8 episodes starting at 6 a.m. EST Tuesday.
