Jill Duggar Says She Got 'Emotional' Buying This Item
The Duggar family is once again creating life, but this time not with a new baby. Jill Duggar Dillard wrote on Instagram Wednesday that she went shopping and unexpectedly bought a tree.
“Anybody with me?” she wrote, according to People. “Have you made some out of the ordinary purchases recently?”
The third oldest of the 19 famous siblings, Jill said she left the house alone for the first time since social distancing protocol began to be considered the norm.
“Got out yesterday to grab a few things BY MYSELF for the first time since this whole #coronaviruspandemic thing and came home with this tree hanging out my window,” she wrote.
Jill said the spontaneous tree purchase was “emotional” for her.
“I don’t like to think of myself as an emotional purchaser, but I have to say there was something therapeutic & satisfying about getting a tree,” she wrote.
Jill and her husband Derick Dillard share two sons, 5-year-old Israel and 2-year-old Samuel. They were married in June 2014 when Jill was 23.
While spending lots of quality time with her family in quarantine, Jill has been posting about some of the activities she has used to entertain her young sons.
On March 23, “week 2” of being home with her children, she posted “5 ways we’re keeping busy” while staying at home with young children. The list includes making cards for family members and friends, building forts and tents out of furniture and blankets, scavenger hunts and painting.
She also shared on March 31 that she used a baking sheet and magnet letters for an activity that required “learning for boys” and kept them “interested.”
Her eldest son Israel also celebrated his 5th birthday on April 6. The celebration included a “special birthday breakfast” and an afternoon drive “to say hey to friends from our car.”
Her latest purchase could serve as another way to entertain her sons, seeing as they will need to plant the tree.
