Jinger Duggar In A Courtship? Photo Causes '19 Kids And Counting' Fans To Speculate She's Dating Lawson Bates

One member of the Duggar family is speculated to be in a courtship. While Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have not announced that their daughter Jinger Duggar in dating, fans of the family’s canceled reality series, “19 Kids and Counting,” are speculating she may no longer be single.

As first reported by the Inquisitr, “19 Kids and Counting” viewers seem to believe that Jinger Duggar, 21, brought along a member of the equally famous Bates family as her date to a recent outing. According to the site, “Bringing Up Bates” star Lawson Bates' appearance at Amy Duggar’s wedding to Dillon King in Arkansas on Sept. 6 is a clue of a potential new courtship in the works.

In a photo posted to the Duggar family’s Facebook page, Jinger Duggar can be seen posing at her cousin Amy Duggar’s wedding alongside several family members. However, Lawson Bates is also in the shot and standing right next to the fourth eldest Duggar daughter. It is also worth noting that Lawson’s brother, Trace Bates, can be seen in the group photo.

"Lawson and Jinger make a good looking couple!" one fan commented on the Duggars’ Facebook page earlier this month. “Is [there] something we should know about Lawson and Jinger?!!! They would make a perfect couple!!!" questioned one fan. “Yes, I see Lawson in the pic standing beside Jinger. I really think they are a couple now or getting to know each other,” added another supporter.

For those unfamiliar with the Bates clan, Lawson, 23, is the fourth eldest child of Gil and Kelly Jo Bates. He stars alongside his family, which includes 10 sisters and eight brothers, on Up’s “Bringing Up Bates.” The Tennessee native is a musician, and has a YouTube channel which he uses to post videos of himself singing and playing the guitar. According to his recent Instagram posts, he’s a dedicated family man.

The Bates and the Duggars have been longtime friends as both families are devout and have 19 children, so it wouldn’t exactly be surprising if there was a Duggar-Bates courtship. Lawson’s sister, Erin Bates, commented on the possibility during an interview with ET Online in February.

“I personally think, hey you have 19 kids on each side, I think it's almost inevitable somewhere down the line,” she said. “As much as we see each other, I think there's going to be an attraction somewhere. I don't know where yet, but I think it's gonna happen.”

As of Friday morning, the Duggars and the Bates had not responded to the courting rumors.
