'Job-Less' Prince Harry 'Rudderless' In LA, Misses 'Having Structure In Life,' Source Claims
KEY POINTS
- Prince Harry feels down in Los Angeles
- Unlike his wife Meghan Markle, Prince Harry has no friends in the city
- The Duke of Sussex got back in touch with Prince William
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and son Archie have settled down in Los Angeles, but the transition reportedly isn’t going smoothly especially for the patriarch.
Unlike his wife who has friends in the bustling city of California and has an idea of how life goes in the area, Prince Harry has reportedly found himself feeling down after moving to the U.S. A Vanity Fair source said that since they arrived in the sunny location from Canada, the Duke of Sussex has been “rudderless.”
“He doesn’t have friends in L.A. like Meghan and he doesn’t have a job. So at the moment he’s a bit rudderless, but it won’t always be like this, and he knows that,” the insider said.
Prince Harry also reportedly misses having a structure in his life. He and Markle announced in January that they will be stepping down as senior members of the royal family, thus leaving their workload to the rest of the influential clan.
Prince Harry and Markle used to attend to royal engagements, and although it didn’t fit the definition of a job in a conventional way, the 35-year-old would have a schedule ready for the day. The couple has been living in Tyler Perry’s $18-million mansion in an exclusive community Beverly Ridge Estates.
They have also upped their fight against possible invaders by erecting screens around the expansive property. This comes after authorities have relaxed park rules for hikers and may be a precautionary measure as the area surrounding the house provides a vantage point of Prince Harry, Meghan and Archie’s current house.
Nonetheless, royal expert Katie Nicholl told the Entertainment Tonight that Prince Harry and brother Prince William, whom he has long been rumored to have a rift with, have been talking again. The siblings have reportedly been mending their relationship since February.
“They have done video calls together, they have done a lot of family birthdays and I think with Prince Charles not being well, that really forced the brothers to pick up the phone and get back in touch,” Nicholl added.
Although it had been months since they began working on their relationship, Prince Harry reportedly felt it was high time to reconnect with the Duke of Cambridge because of how he feels in Los Angeles.
