“Tiger King” fame Joe Exotic and his legal team have sent a 257-page case to Donald Trump, asking the president of the U.S. to pardon him from his 22-year murder-for-hire sentence.
According to TMZ, the documents also included a letter written by Exotic in which he claimed that he has been “sexually assaulted” by the jail staff. The star also noted his hands have been badly injured due to the abuse he endured in the jail premises.
Exotic requested Trump to be his “hero” and take him out of all the misery.
“I have been sexually assaulted by jail staff, beat up and tied in a chair to the point the skin came off my arms. Please be my hero. My hands are damaged from the abuse in jail,” Exotic stated in the letter he wrote for the president.
He also wrote that Trump should give him a chance to make America “proud.”
“Allow me to make you proud, to make America proud, to make the world proud. Be my hero please,” Exotic added in his letter.
However, the media outlet learned from prison sources that “no such assault” took place in the jail premises involving Exotic.
Meanwhile, the former zoo owner said that his deteriorating health will result in his death before his scheduled 2037 release. In the documents obtained by the media outlet, Exotic once again insisted that he never tried to kill Carole Baskin. In the documents, his lawyers stated that the “threats” were just “another aspect of his showmanship.”
As part of the case, a message from Exotic’s husband Dillon Passage was brought up. In his letter, Passage claimed the “Tiger King” star saved him from addiction.
“I see a sweet, big heart man, with good intentions, who took a few steps down a dark road, and he's just waiting to be pulled out of it ,” Passage wrote in the letter.
Recently, Exotic revealed that he’s done with the Baskin saga and just wants to get out of jail.
The docu-series has received positive reviews from the critics as well as audiences. Season 1 has a score of 92% on review site Rotten Tomatoes.
