- Some called out Giudice for allegedly going after his ex-wife Teresa in his post
Joe Giudice drew criticism from netizens after he seemingly threw some shade at his ex-girlfriend Daniela Fittipaldi via social media.
On Saturday, the 49-year-old former “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star took to Instagram to share some relationship advice with his followers on the platform.
“A person in 2 months can make you feel what a person in 2 years didn’t. Time means nothing, character does,” the message he shared read.
However, the response to his post was not what he might have expected. Some linked his message to his ex-wife Teresa Giudice, also 49, who recently got engaged to Luis Ruelas, 46.
“Joe is burning and regretting not ever being a good husband to Teresa. On the show, she was always [begging] for attention from Joe, and now Joe wishes that can come back lol. Good thing she found [someone] who can make her feel what Joe couldn’t in their marriage,” one wrote.
“I’m sure that’s exactly how your ex-wife feels [smiling face with tears emoji],” another commented.
“You had your chance and you took it for granted. She’s an amazing woman and deserved to be happy. It’s time for you to work on yourself and heal your narcissistic personality so you can find real love yourself,” a third user added.
On the other hand, a number also agreed with Giudice and cheered him on knowing that he had just broken up with Fittipaldi after a year of dating.
“Joe, it may be a good thing that you are taking a time out with the relationship. Glad your focus is on the kids and getting back to the U.S. Best of luck to you,” a fan stated.
“110% facts brother. Hope all is well. Happy holidays,” another wrote.
“So very true. I wish you love that will elevate you to a new level. Praying you can come home to the U.S.A. soon,” a different user commented.
Giudice’s post comes a day after it was confirmed that he has called it quits with the Italian lawyer. In Touch was the first one to report about the duo’s split. Giudice then opened up about the breakup to Us Weekly Friday.
“I have a lot going on right now and don’t have time for a relationship. Between my new attorney and [my] appeal to get back to the U.S., my work here in the Bahamas [and] new projects, I just don’t have the time or headspace for that,” he told the outlet.
Us Weekly was also the first to confirm in December 2020 that Giudice and Fittipaldi started dating last summer. However, Giudice did not confirm anything until earlier this year, when he paid tribute to Fittipaldi on Valentine’s Day.
“Thank you for accepting me and not trying to change me. Thank you for seeing the best in me. … I am thankful for you and your family. And most of all I love the way you [love] my kids. My life is so much better because you are here with me,” he wrote on Instagram alongside two photos of the lawyer at the time.
Though specific details about their relationship were never disclosed. It is believed that the former reality TV star met Fittipaldi after he was deported to his home country, Italy, in 2019.
Following his deportation, Giudice decided to move to the Bahamas, and he has been staying there since. But just recently, he revealed that he has hired a new attorney for his appeal to be allowed entry to the U.S.
In an interview with E! News, Giudice said that he’s willing to “do everything in my power” to be allowed to return to the U.S. and reunite with his daughters — Gia, 20, Gabriella, 17, Milania, 15, and Audriana, 12.
His decision to file an appeal in his deportation case came a month after his ex-wife, Teresa, got engaged to her boyfriend of less than two years, Ruelas.
