Joe Jonas will be a guest judge alongside Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi during the audition rounds of American Idol's ninth season in Dallas, People magazine reports.

Jonas, 20 will join famous guests for the season 9 including Victoria Beckham, Mary J. Blige, Katy Perry and Shania Twain.

The news,- reported first by the LA Times Show Tracker blog- also claimed that Kelly Clarkson, the winner of American Idol first season would be a guest judge as well but this has not been confirmed.

Jonas is currently on tour with The Jonas Brothers for their new album Lines, Vines and Trying Times.
