Joe Jonas Wants To Score Tickets To Taylor Swift's 'The Eras' Tour
Taylor Swift's ex, Joe Jonas, wants to grab some tickets to her "The Eras Tour."
Jonas, who is a fan of the "All Too Well" singer along with his wife Sophie Turner, exclusively told E! News that he is willing to queue in order to get some coveted tickets to the concert series.
"I'll get in line now," the Jonas Brothers vocalist said.
The "Sucker" singer said the high demand for "The Eras Tour" tickets is "expected," but getting them would be a "great idea" to surprise his wife.
"She'll love that," he said.
Ticketmaster experienced massive outages and delays this week as a huge number of fans trooped to the website to buy tickets for Swift's much-anticipated concerts. Many of the singer's fans failed to get a ticket after the website crashed due to a deluge of people actively buying the tickets at the time.
As fans complained on Twitter, Ticketmaster issued a statement Tuesday, saying that "there has been historically unprecedented demand with millions showing up" to buy tickets for Swift's shows. Ticketmaster asked fans to wait in the virtual queue and to "hang tight."
"Queues are moving and we are working to get fans through as quickly as possible," Ticketmaster promised.
The meltdown prompted lawmakers to slam the country's largest concert promoter and Ticketmaster's parent company, Live Nation.
Rep. David Cicilline, Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Antitrust, Commercial, and Administrative Law, tweeted, "It's no secret that Live Nation-Ticketmaster is an unchecked monopoly."
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez also tweeted, "Daily reminder that Ticketmaster is a monopoly, its merger with LiveNation should never have been approved, and they need to be reined in."
"The Eras Tour" begins March 17 at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, and will stretch until Aug. 9 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. There will be 52 shows announced for its U.S. leg tour, while dates and venues for overseas performances are yet to be announced.
Jonas and Swift dated when they were teenagers. The "Bad Blood" singer previously said they broke up through a "27-second phone call." Swift also said in 2008 that she learned not to date people who are "not allowed to go out in public with me" or guys who "don't think my sense of humor is funny."
