Joe Rogan Tests Positive For COVID-19 After Telling His Followers To Avoid Vaccines
Podcast host Joe Rogan, who had on several occasions questioned the need to get the coronavirus vaccines, has tested positive for COVID-19.
The 54-year-old comedian and podcaster, popularly known as the host of "The Joe Rogan Experience," took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a video message.
"On Saturday, throughout the night, I got fevers, sweats, and I knew what was going on," he said in the video, adding that he was "separated" from his family after he got COVID-19 symptoms and slept in a "different part" of his house.
He revealed that he got a headache and fever Saturday night and got tested on Sunday. "We immediately threw the kitchen sink at it, all kinds of meds," he added.
Rogan said he felt better within three days. He noted, "It is what it is" and "It is the crazy time, we are living in."
"A wonderful heartfelt thank you to modern medicine for pulling me out of this so quickly and easily," Rogan concluded.
Due to his health, he has postponed a show that was planned for this Friday to Oct. 24.
Many celebrities reacted to the news, with some blaming the podcaster for not wearing a mask.
Auto racer BJ Baldwin commented, "All this could have been avoided if you would have just worn a mask. Lol jk _ Glad you kicked the s--t out of Covid so fast," while mixed martial artist Chris Weidman wrote, "Ivermectin _ .. happy you are feeling better, Joe. Now you are in the antibody club!"
In April, Rogan revealed on his podcast that he would discourage his kids from getting vaccinated, saying, "If you're a healthy person, and you're exercising all the time, and you're young, and you're eating well, like, I don't think you need to worry about this."
He also had asked his viewers not to get vaccinated. However, it is not known if Rogan has got the jab.
The comedian was last seen in the TV series "UFC 25 Years in Short" and "Silicon Valley."
