Johnny Depp, Amber Heard Engaged? Engagement Ring Allegedly Spotted On Depp’s Girlfriend’s Finger

Another A-list couple in Hollywood may soon be heading down the aisle.

According to E! News Tuesday, Johnny Depp, 50, and his girlfriend of one year, actress Amber Heard, are reportedly engaged. While representatives for the couple have yet to address the alleged engagement, the 27-year-old “Drive Angry” star did hint at their possible upcoming nuptials after photographers spotted her sporting a very sparkly ring on a very important finger this week.

Heard was seen leaving Ago restaurant in West Hollywood in Los Angeles Monday night wearing a diamond ring on her engagement finger, according to the report. “Despite a good effort to keep her left hand covered, an eagle-eyed paparazzo got a bird's-eye view,” reads the gossip report. The source said Depp’s girlfriend was keen on keeping her alleged engagement ring out of public view after leaving the restaurant with a friend. “Heard was inside for about an hour and a half and, on her way out, she was doing everything to hide her hand,” said the insider, adding, “The actress also waited for the valet driver to open her car door for her, seemingly so as not to have to expose her hand for an extra second.”

The pair, who have been linked since filming the dramedy film “The Rum Diary” in 2011, made their first public appearance together on Saturday at the Art of Elysium gala at L.A.’s Skirball Center. The duo, who spent the following day presenting at the 2014 Golden Globes, reportedly enjoyed the evening “whispering” to one another and were seen “getting cozy” at a table near the front of the event’s stage.

If the engagement rumors are true, this will be the second marriage for Depp. The “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor, who was married to makeup artist Lori Anne Allison for four years in the 1980s, last dated model Vanessa Paradis for 14 years before splitting in 2012. The couple have two children together, Lily-Rose and John “Jack” Christopher. Prior to Depp, Heard was linked to artist and photographer Tasya van Ree.
