Johnny Depp wished his fans “nothing but happiness and health to all” as he says goodbye to a tumultuous 2020.

The "Pirates of the Caribbean" star took to Instagram and shared a photo of the preface of William Saroyan's 1939 novel, "The Time of Your Life."

"Have no shame in being kindly and gentle, but if the time comes in the time of your life to kill, kill and have no regret," it read in part.

In the caption, Depp also wrote a heartfelt message for his followers, including his wishes for everyone as the new year arrives.

"A New Year’s wish to all," he wrote. "Though the world is in mourning for better days, I hope all of you are able to find a moment tonight to smile and more importantly, to laugh and make others laugh, as much as possible."

"I know this may be difficult in the midst of these trying times, but I wish nothing but happiness and health to all. May you be surrounded in perfection," he added. "With all my love and respect, JD."

Depp's post received over a million likes as of writing from his followers and fellow celebrities, including Robert Downey Jr. Many fans also left messages of love and support for the actor.

"Thank you and I wish you nothing but happiness as well...May your life be filled with endless amount love!" one commented.

"We love you, we are with you forever and even after that. happy new years to you, and may the next year of your life be filled with happiness and justice," another added.

"I wish you the best in this world. You are the most important person to me, you are the only person who makes me happy and now you have to regain your happiness!!!" a third user added.

"You have all of our love and support, too! Don’t ever forget that, you are loved and believed by those that matter xoxo," another opined.

In November, Depp lost his libel case against British tabloid The Sun, which he sued for calling him a "wife-beater" in a 2018 article over ex-wife Amber Heard's claims that he was violent and abusive toward her.

After losing the case, Warner Bros. asked him to resign from the "Fantastic Beasts" franchise. Since the announcement of his resignation, Depp's supporters rallied behind him and continue to send their love to the actor.

Many of them also hit out at Netflix over the alleged removal of Depp's movies from the streaming platform in the U.S.

"@netflix Everyones mad you took Johnny Depp off for no reason. You are enabling a twisted woman, showing people it’s okay. Disgusting. I can’t wait until you realize how much business you’re losing. Sort yourselves out. Fix it. #NetflixIsCanceled," one fan wrote.
