Camille Vasquez is definitely seeing Johnny Depp again.
On Wednesday, the 37-year-old attorney — a member of the legal team that helped Depp win his defamation case against his ex-wife Amber Heard — was spotted by TMZ as she was leaving "Good Morning America" in New York City and was asked if she'll see Depp again now that the trial was over.
"Of course!" she responded "without hesitation," according to the outlet.
Asked if she was a fan of Depp's music, Vasquez said, "Yes, yes, of course," before getting into an SUV.
Vasquez and Depp struck up a friendship over the many months they worked together on the case. But while some fans speculated that the pair's relationship may have turned romantic, unnamed sources told TMZ that they are just friends.
Vasquez became the breakout star of Depp's six-week trial in Virginia due to her searing cross-examinations. Eventually, she and her colleagues were able to convince the jury that Heard's 2018 Washington Post op-ed indeed defamed the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor.
After the trial wrapped up, Vasquez reportedly received offers from various talent agencies, TV networks and cable channels.
"Talent agents are circling Camille because they recognize that she is the unicorn — a smart, savvy, poised attorney whose impactful performance during the trial propelled her to a rare level of visibility," an unnamed industry source told the New York Post. "And the fact that she is a woman of color is an added bonus."
The lawyer was also promoted to partner at the law firm Brown Rudnick, where she was an associate before Depp's trial began.
"We are pleased to announce that Camille Vasquez has been elevated to partner. She was a key member of the litigation team that won a jury verdict last week for actor Johnny Depp in his defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard," the firm said in a statement obtained by Daily Mail.
According to Brown Rudnick chair and CEO William Baldiga, they typically promote partners when the fiscal year ends. However, he said, "Camille's performance during the Johnny Depp trial proved to the world that she was ready to take this next step now. We are incredibly proud of her and look forward to what she will accomplish as our newest partner."
Vasquez was overjoyed with her promotion after helping Depp win his case. "I am delighted that Brown Rudnick has given me its full vote of confidence by having me join the partnership," she said.
Depp was awarded more than $10 million in damages after Heard was found liable for defamation.
Heard also partially won her countersuit over comments made by Depp's former lawyer claiming that her abuse allegations were a hoax and was awarded $2 million in damages. The actress plans to file an appeal, her lawyer said.
