JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers have decided to push back their nuptials again because they didn't want to change their wedding plans.
The "Bachelorette" star and her fiancé are sticking with their wedding venue. However, the maximum capacity it can hold is still limited due to the coronavirus pandemic, so the couple decided to delay their wedding because they "absolutely love that venue that we chose."
"This has been just a very fluid situation and one that I feel like Jordan and I have done a really great job of rolling with the punches and just realizing that a lot of it’s out of our control," the reality star told Us Weekly.
Fletcher explained that they were supposed to tie the knot last year but delayed it due to the pandemic. She added that they couldn't just change venues because aside from the fact that they loved the place, they would also lose a lot of money.
"We’ve already postponed it a year from the last time. And when we rescheduled it for this year, it was supposed to be this month," she added.
"And when we had to make our final call, our venue is still at a 10-person maximum capacity. And everyone says, ‘Well, why wouldn’t you just move the venue and change your location and do all those things?’ Well, guys, it’s not that easy because there’s a lot of money tied up that we wouldn’t be able to get back!"
At present, the couple has not decided on a new wedding date especially since Rodgers is busy because it's already football season. But it's not an issue for them because they are both willing to wait as they don't want to sacrifice their dream wedding.
"We’re at peace. We don’t want to sacrifice that day," she added. "Unfortunately, it is not what we expected, but we’re staying positive about when it does happen."
Fletcher and Rodgers met on "The Bachelorette" Season 12 in 2016. Fletcher gave her final rose to Rodgers and he proposed to her. In 2019, he proposed to her again.
"Yesterday, Jordan asking me to marry him... again!! I didn’t see it coming nor ever expected it," she wrote on Instagram while showing off her engagement ring. "The show brought us together and set us up for a truly amazing proposal the first time around, but this time was all YOU. And that means everything and more to me. I can’t wait to marry you! Thank you for loving me so purely and protecting my heart in a way I always used to pray for."
