JoJo Siwa has claimed that she was "used" for "views and clout" shortly after her breakup with Avery Cyrus.
On Monday, the 19-year-old singer and dancer's mom, Jessalyn, posted a video on Instagram Story showing her daughter pacing back and forth in frustration in what appeared to be the living room of their home.
"Why you mad, why you mad?" Jessalyn asked her daughter in the video, to which Siwa responded, "[Because] I got used for views and for clout, and I got tricked into being told that I was loved. I got f—cking played."
Although the "Dance Moms" alum did not directly mention Cyrus, the revelation came days after Siwa confirmed via TikTok over the weekend that she and the 22-year-old TikTok creator called it quits after three months of dating.
The video, which has garnered 2 million views as of writing, showed Siwa and Cyrus aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship during a vacation with friends such as Nia Sioux and Garrett Clayton.
While the YouTube personality did not directly address the breakup in the video, she was heard telling Cyrus in the clip, "This is my 'I'm sorry for breaking up with you present.'"
Cyrus confirmed the breakup in the comments section of the post while answering questions from some concerned fans.
"We decided that we are better off as friends! We are both so young and still just trying to figure our stuff out!" Cyrus responded to one fan.
Cyrus and Siwa first sparked dating rumors in August, after they posted a video of them doing a parody of exes Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian's voiceover on TikTok.
"We're friends," Siwa lip-synced. "Purely platonic," Cyrus mouthed, which caused the former to laugh.
Siwa and Cyrus had since made numerous appearances on each other's social media accounts. Siwa appeared to confirm they were dating in September when she posted a TikTok video showing them kissing in a Chuck E. Cheese photo booth with the caption, "Happiest girl."
A few days later, the pair appeared together on the red carpet for the Hollywood opening of Alanis Morissette's "Jagged Little Pill" musical at the Pantages Theatre, Entertainment Tonight reported.
In October, Siwa shared on Instagram photos from their trip to Disney World, including a snap of a sheet spray-painted by Cyrus that read, "JoJo[,] be my GF?"
Cyrus also appeared on Siwa's "Week 1011" and "Week 1012" YouTube vlogs, where she was seen hanging out with the "Boomerang" singer's family for a movie night in their living room and going on a trip with them.
Their split comes only months after Siwa ended her romance with on-again, off-again ex-girlfriend Kylie Prew in August. The pair went public with their relationship in February last year after Siwa came out as part of the LGBTQ community.
