Since rising to fame in 2007 thanks to their hit TLC show "Jon & Kate Plus 8," Jon and Kate Gosselin have been media fixtures. Even though the couple famously split in 2009, people have continued to follow their lives over the years. However, the facade that the two kept up for many years has begun to crack as the decade-long gag order that Jon initially agreed to during their divorce has recently been lifted. What did the reality star have to say?

According to Daily Mail, Jon alleged that Kate "mentally tortured their son Collin and also abused their daughter Hannah." Calling her a "militant mother," Jon claimed that his ex-wife had proven to secretly be abusive to some of their children for years.

Additionally, Jon, 44, accused Kate of using the children as a means to support her luxurious lifestyle. "Kate is not doing the shows for her family, Kate is doing it for herself," he said, adding, "She's narcissistic and selfish. That's it. Period. All of this is for her - 'Kate Plus Eight,' 'Kate Plus Date,' it's her name first."

Aside from the reality shows, Jon also alleged that Kate had previously sent their 11-year-old son Collin to a child and adolescent behavioral facility in Philadelphia unbeknownst to him. He then shared that the only way he found out about his son's whereabouts was when he received a letter from the Pennsylvania Department of Human Resources (DHS) revealing that they were investigating a reported case of child abuse.

Jon, who did not have any legal access to Collin and was under the belief that he was living with Kate, went on to begin fighting for joint custody. Later, he would find out that his son had accused his mother of abuse to a mandated reporter on several occasions and only went to visit him at the facility three times in three years, only staying for a few hours. Eventually, Collin was brought to Jon's home.

For his part, Jon continues to fight to bring light to what he sees as the truth. "I provide an income for my children. I go to work every single day. They need to enjoy their lives. Go to school and then go to college," he said, adding, "I love my kids. That's it. That's all I wanted."
