Josephine Skriver Gets Her Wings, Becomes Newest Victoria’s Secret Angel

Danish model Josephine Skriver has got her wings. The 22-year-old, who has walked for Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show three times and also worked with the lingerie company earlier, is now a Victoria’s Secret Angel. She has joined the likes of Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Lily Aldridge and Behati Prinsloo as a full-fledged angel.

“Josephine Skriver is a stunning young woman and a delightful person. She is so special and we are enormously happy to welcome her to the most exclusive club in the history of modeling, The Victoria’s Secret Angels,” said Ed Razek, Chief Marketing Officer, Victoria’s Secret in a statement on Friday. The Dutch model walked in three VS fashion shows and has also featured on the cover of VS Swim Catalogue this year.

Josephine, who made her debut on the VS runway in the Pink section, was very happy with the big news and took to Instagram to share her happiness with her 1.5 million followers. The Copenhagen-born beauty shows off her model figure in the picture wearing pink colored VS lingerie. She smolders for the camera with her honey blonde tresses covering a part of her face.

Her long hair is kept in a deep side part as she pouts for the camera wearing pink lipstick. Josephine wears smoky eye make-up and accessorizes with a delicate gold necklace. The model thanked Razek for making her a VS angel.

She added that she did not know how to be in her own body and the whole news felt insane. Born to gay parents through IVF, Josephine or Jo, as she is popularly called, is an ambassador for the Family Equality Council’s Outspoken Generation Program. She raises awareness about LGBTQ community, telling people that they can be amazing parents.

Jo, who made her debut at New York Fashion Week’s Fall/Winter 2011 season runway, is in Kendall Jenner’s squad. She was pictured supporting Kendall and her younger sister Kylie at the launch of their new clothing collection Kendall + Kylie collection in New York. Meanwhile, older sister to her stylish younger brother Oliver, Jo is dating rock star Alexander Deleon, the lead singer of pop rock band The Cab.
