Josh Lucas Engaged: ‘The Firm’ Hunk is Off of the Market

Josh Lucas of Sweet Home Alabama fame is engaged to a mystery woman.

Lucas, who will star in the upcoming NBC series The Firm, described how he decided that his fiancée was the one for him during his Thursday night appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

The couple had been staying in a remote trailer in Big Sur, Calif., while Lucas was shooting a movie, and the actor had just had a terrifying near-encounter with a mountain lion.

Fortunately for Lucas, the animal didn't attack, but the encounter gave him a serious case of the jitters -- of the life-flashing-before-your-eyes kind.

Upon returning to the trailer, Lucas took one look at his girlfriend and decided she was the one.

I decided in that moment, truly, in that moment, that this woman was the woman for me, he told Leno.

Before finding his lady love, Lucas had been linked to several Hollywood lovelies, including Salma Hayek and Rachel McAdams.

Lucas will now be seen in the new TV series The Firm, based off of the 1991 John Grisham novel that was made into a movie in 1993 and starred Tom Cruise.
