Joy Duggar Is Putting Down Roots In Arkansas With Austin Forsyth

Joy-Anna Duggar has big plans following her honeymoon with husband Austin Forsyth. After vacationing at a private locale, the couple will reportedly put down roots in her home state of Arkansas.

Family friends of the “Counting On” stars report on their Official Duggar Family Fan Facebook page that Joy, 19, and Austin, 23, have plans to build their own home. The announcement comes after “Counting On” fans learned last season that Austin works as a house flipper and was advised by his dad not to propose to Joy until he’d flipped his fifth home.

Let’s hope for their sake that Austin can build a house quickly as it seems the couple will need some more space to accommodate their family. “When the couple returns home, they will build a house near both families, and it might not be too long before they enter parenthood,” the Duggar Family Blog reports.

Fresh off their May 26 wedding, Joy revealed her family plans to People Magazine, saying she and her husband can’t wait to be parents. “We love kids and we’re excited to have a family,” she said. “We’re just going to see what the Lord does.”

As for how many kids they plan to have, Joy may just beat her mother Michelle Duggar’s record of 19 children. “We want as many as the Lord thinks we can handle and we are putting it into his hands,” she told People.

Joy also discussed her pregnancy plans prior to the wedding. In March, Joy told Crown of Beauty Magazine she hopes to be a mother in five years’ time. Last month, she admitted to “Counting On” viewers on her family’s Facebook fan page that she’s excited about the idea of becoming a mom.

“I’m so thankful for your momma and even more recently just helping with all the wedding planning and helping me just not get stressed out with all of that,” Joy started her Mother’s Day video message. “I can’t wait to be a mother myself,” she added.

While “Counting On” fans await a pregnancy announcement, Joy and Austin are thought to be currently enjoying their honeymoon. The couple did not announce where they were headed for their post-nuptial getaway last month to fans, and apparently, family members were also kept out of the loop on their vacation plans.

“I think the honeymoon is going to be really, really special, just getting to spend that time together. I don’t even know where they’re going, honestly, but I know it’s going to be exciting,” Joy’s sister and bridesmaid Jessa Seewald said in a video congratulating her sibling and brother-in-law on their big day.

She continued by offering the newlyweds some honeymoon advice. “Getting to travel together, make memories together, take lots of pictures and document your travels and your journeys. This is the beginning of your life together,” she said.

“Counting On” will feature Joy and Austin’s wedding on the upcoming episodes of the family’s docuseries. Their big day will be featured in the Season 3 premiere episode, airing June 12 at 9 p.m. EDT on TLC.
