Joy Duggar’s Honeymoon Plans Revealed After Austin Forsyth Wedding
Joy-Anna Duggar is officially a married woman, and the reality TV star and her new husband, Austin Forsyth, are preparing for a nice long honeymoon now that the festivities surrounding their nuptials have ended.
According to People Magazine, the 19-year-old said “I do” to her fiancé of nearly three months on Friday, May 20, in a church that was packed with their families and closest friends. Now that they have wed, the two told the magazine that they’re looking forward to the rest of their lives together, starting with their honeymoon.
“Leading up, it was so surreal until I was walking down the aisle and then I was like, ‘Oh my goodness, it’s actually here’” Joy-Anna said. “We are going to be traveling for our honeymoon for awhile.”

It’s currently unclear where the couple will go for their honeymoon, though there was some initial speculation that they may not go on a trip right away because of Austin’s family’s Christian Fort Rock Family Camp and Christian Retreat Center, where they both work, officially opening for business on June 1.
The “Counting On” star was officially the first teen bride in her family when she married, though the couple were also friends for 15 years before entering into a courtship last year. Since her family first gained fame, she is the fourth sibling to marry, following her older sisters Jill (who married Derek Dillard in June 2014), Jessa (who married Ben Seewald in November 2014), and Jinger (who married Jeremy Vuolo in November 2016).
Leading up to the wedding, Joy-Anna and Austin tried to keep their plans private, though an Arkansas newspaper wound up revealing that the pair was marrying sooner than expected by sharing that they had filed for a marriage license, and according to their county’s rules, that meant the couple would need to wed within 60 days in order for their license to remain valid.
After the nuptials, the two sat down to share their happiness with TLC and promote a special episode of the show which would be devoted to their wedding.
“I think that the moment I said ‘I do’ was just a huge burden off my shoulder, and finally being married to her is just a tremendous weight lifted off,” Austin said. “I’m just looking forward to getting to share my life, its good times and its challenges, with my best friend. Having someone there to support me, and love me, and always be there.”
While the planning is officially over for Joy-Anna and Austin however, it is far from the last wedding the Duggar family will be planning. At the event celebrating the newly married couple, her older brother, Joseph, 22, officially asked his girlfriend, Kendra Caldwell, 18, to marry him, after a courtship of a few months.

“I’m so happy and so shocked. There’s so many words I want to say, but just shocked,” Kendra told People Magazine.
A new season of “Counting On,” which will feature a special dedicated to Joy-Anna and Austin’s wedding (and presumably Joseph and Kendra’s engagement) in the first episode, premieres June 12 on TLC.
