Julia Roberts Enjoys Rare Public Appearance In Malibu With Her 3 Children

It is very rare for Julia Roberts to be seen outside with her whole family, so it was a nice surprise to see the actress enjoy a rare public family appearance with her three children and husband Danny Moder. The family of five were spotted in Malibu Saturday to support Kelly Slater’s new clothing line.

According to People, the “Pretty Woman” star and husband Moder brought their growing family, namely twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, both 10, and eight-year-old Henry, to the launch party for Outerknown. The brand is surfer Slater’s new clothing line.

Roberts looked chic in all black ensemble, with a loose fitting top and shorts. Husband Moder also complimented Roberts' attire with dark pants, white sneakers and a gray shirt with the sleeves rolled up. The actress and her family were all smiles as they posed for pictures alongside Slater.

Other stars, who joined Slater’s Malibu launch party, included Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber, with their kids Presley and Kaia. Red Hot Chili Peppers singer Anthony Kiedis also brought his son, Everly Bear, to the event. Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky, along with Gerard Butler and Jason Statham, also attended the Outerknown party.

Meanwhile, the couple has been trying to give their children a normal life as possible and away from the Hollywood spotlight. The “Eat Pray Love” actress has also become choosy over the projects that she will participate in to ensure that she does not spend too much time away from her children. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly for the movie “Secret in Their Eyes,” the Oscar winner shared that she has become very picky over the years.

“As time goes by and my children are less packable with their school schedules, life isn’t the once origami thing it used to be where you go, ‘Oh, that sounds interesting!’ and it all folds into this one nice little piece,” Roberts said. “It’s just a sense of choosiness for something compelling enough to keep me away from home, to a degree. I’m pretty much a stay-at-home mom and it’s incredibly fulfilling.”

In the movie, Roberts plays Jess, a district attorney investigator, who relives the gruesome murder of her daughter after her partner secures new information about the case 13 years later. “Secret in Their Eyes” is expected for release on Nov. 20, 2015.
