Julia Roberts Thinks Lady Gaga Is 'Overrated'? Rumor Debunked
Is there a big feud going on between Julia Roberts and Lady Gaga? That’s what a recent tabloid story suggested. The feud was reportedly evident during the recent Critics’ Choice Awards. This rumor, however, has been debunked.
According to Gossip Cop, a tabloid story suggested that there is an ongoing feud between Roberts and Lady Gaga. Roberts is well-known figure in Hollywood, and the latter was recently nominated for the best actress award at the Oscars for her performance in “A Star Is Born,” a film that was directed by Bradley Cooper.
A source reportedly told the tabloid that Roberts walked up to Cooper at the Critics’ Choice Awards and hugged him. The actress reportedly “ignored” Gaga, who was supposedly standing right next to her director.
This “insider” said that an acknowledgement from Roberts means that Gaga has been “officially accepted as an actress.” The singer is reportedly unhappy that Roberts hasn’t praised her for her performance in “A Star Is Born.” The snub from the Hollywood A-lister has “annoyed” the singer, according to the source.
While Gaga is eagerly looking for approval from Roberts, the latter apparently feels that the singer is “overrated,” according to the source. The truth, however, is that there is no feud between the two celebrities.
Many media outlets have covered the Critics’ Choice Awards, but there is only one tabloid that has reported on a feud between the two stars, which in itself should raise a few red flags. On top of that, sources close to the two stars have also confirmed that they haven’t heard anything of the sort.
Roberts recently shared a picture of her outfit on Instagram and thanked the people involved in helping her get the right look. In fact, most of her posts on social media are about wishing her friends on occasions like birthdays or expressing gratitude. There is no hint of an ongoing feud between Roberts and any other celebrity. The tabloids, however, have been pitting her against many other actors in Hollywood.
While speaking to the press recently, Roberts said that she enjoys posting things on social media, People reported. It has been just seven months since she has joined Instagram, but she said that she doesn’t feel any pressure to post new content. She explained that she posts what she can, when she can.
