Julia Stiles Pregnant With First Baby But Not Rushing Wedding With Preston J. Cook

Hollywood actress Julia Stiles has announced that she’s pregnant. However, just because she has a bun in the oven doesn’t mean she’s going to rush her wedding with fiancé Preston J. Cook.

On Monday, Stiles’ rep exclusively revealed to Us Weekly that the “Save the Last Dance” star is already expecting her first child to arrive later this year. Her rep’s confirmation comes the same day when the 36-year-old mom-to-be was seen flaunting her baby bump in London. Stiles was photographed wearing a black fitted dress for an interview with magic FM’s Nick Snaith that day, so her growing belly was very noticeable.

The pregnancy news comes almost a year and a half after Stiles and her beau got engaged in December 2015 in Isla Grande, Colombia. It took some time before the couple made their engagement public. It was already January 2016 when Stiles decided to share a photo of her engagement band on Instagram, but she still captioned it “Best Christmas Ever!”

Although she and her fiancé are having a baby pretty soon, there is still no fixed date on when the two of them would exchange wedding vows. In fact, Stiles previously told People that they’re a bit lax on the wedding preparations. “I’m not getting a ton of marital advice,” she said last year. “We’re really slow on the wedding planning so I haven’t really been soliciting advice.”

It’s understandable why their wedding plans are going slowly at the moment. Stiles is currently busy promoting her new series, “Riviera,” in London. The project is a 10-part thriller series that’s scheduled to premiere on the U.K.’s Sky Atlantic on June 15.

In the show, Stiles portrays an art curator named Georgina, who is married to a billionaire named Constantine Clios. Georgina’s husband was one day killed in a yacht explosion in the French Riviera. This then leads the protagonist to discovering that Clios managed to amass his wealth by committing different crimes including murder.

Stiles and Cook first met on the set of the 2015 movie “Go With Me,” where the actress’ husband-to-be worked as a camera assistant.
