Julian Edelman Tinder, Snapchat Photo Update: Sabrina Apologizes For Picture, Banned From Boston Bars
Normally people go on Tinder to find a date of sorts -- not to let potential hookups know you had sex with a star athlete who just won Super Bowl XLIX. This is not the case with Sabrina, a Tinder user who apologized after she posted a picture of New England Patriots star Julian Edelman. The pair hooked up with the help of the dating app and it appears she put the image on Tinder and Snapchat.
After they did the deed, she thought it would be a good idea to share a photo of the sleeping wide receiver with a crude message. “Just f***ed Edelman no lie,” the shot read, in what looks like a Snapchat-style caption. Sabrina’s face can be seen creeping into the photo.
Deadspin appears to have broken the story Wednesday morning. By afternoon, Sabrina was ready with an apology. “I made a mistake. I feel really bad about it,” she told TMZ Sports.
"He passed out and I was bored I guess. I was drunk ... and I made a mistake and I feel terrible about it."
But does she really feel bad? Sabrina, who hasn’t revealed her last name, reportedly has been blacklisted from Boston nightclubs by people who feel she violated Edelman’s privacy. She doesn’t seem to mind, though. “I’ve definitely gotten my fair share of clubbing in Boston -- and I have friends who work there who say I’m still welcome. I don’t know if I’ll go out anytime soon -- but that’s MY choice."
The photo even got the attention of some of Edelman’s teammates. "Some of the players were texting me that they were really disappointed. I obviously made a mistake and I can’t take it back,” she said.
Edelman hasn’t commented about the photo on Twitter. Instead, he asked who was going to attend the Boston parade and posted a picture of himself with Boston police officers.
