July 4th Fireworks Bay Area San Francisco: Best spots to watch from
Are you planning to watch the fireworks in the Bay Area but haven’t found where to go yet?
In San Francisco, the fireworks will start at 9:30 p.m. in Pier 39 and can be seen at numerous places in the city.
Here are some of the best places to see fireworks in the San Francisco area:
Pier 39
Pier 39, also known as the Fisherman’s Wharf, will hold the Independence Day fireworks displayed over the Bay. You will be able to have a close-up look of the spectacular show.
Treasure Island
Treasure Island is a man-made island located between San Francisco and Oakland. You can go to Treasure Island by taking the I-80 (I-80 N if going from San Francisco and I-80 S if going from Oakland) and take the Treasure Island exit.
You will have an amazing view of the bay and the city, and fireworks over the night view will be marvelous.
However, the traffic is usually heavy on this day, so be sure to be there early!
Twin Peaks
If you are taking your date on this special day, Twin Peaks may be an ideal place. You can drive up to the top of the second-highest point in the city and enjoy the open view of the fireworks across the Bay and beyond.
Marin Headlands
Marin Headlands is located just above the Golden Gate Bridge, and you can always get a stunning view of the city. On Fourth of July, the view will be flavored even further by the fireworks display.
Crissy Field
Crissy Field is also a place to go, if you want to celebrate the Independence Day together with a large crowd.
You may want to get there early to find a parking spot, or you may have to consider walking down there.
