It’s that time of year again when people gather for barbeques and fireworks in order to celebrate the fourth of July. While spending time with friends and family offers a fun escape, some people prefer to cash in on all the freebies and deals offered on the patriotic holiday.

For those of you who are sticking to a budget or simply have no interest in spending a lot of cash during July 4th, there are plenty of ways to save while enjoying oneself. Check out some of the discounts, deals and freebies being offered during Independence Day 2018:

Quiznos

Toasty Points members who buy a BBQ pulled pork sub can get one for free. If you’re not a member, simply download the app. Be sure to head into your local Quiznos soon, the deal ends on Sunday.

Applebee’s

Kids can eat for free on July 4th at Applebees! When a dine-in guest purchases an adult entrée, up to two children, 12 and under, will be allowed to chow down for free.

Outback Steakhouse

Wednesday will mark the last day veterans, active members of the military, firefighters and police officers can receive 20 percent off of their meal. For those who miss out on the July 4th deal, Outback offers a 10 percent discount to service men and women year round. Federal identification or valid state ID is required.

Sam’s Club

Active members of the military and veterans have until Jan. 31, 2019, to go in-store or online to join the membership club. Those who can provide proof of service will receive a free $10 gift card.

Potbelly

Customers who purchase any entrée from July 2-July 8 will receive a buy one get one offer on their receipt. Guests have until Sunday to redeem their offer for a salad or sandwich of equal or lesser value.

7 For All Mankind

Those interested in saving money while expanding their summer wardrobe may want to surf the web. 7 For All Mankind online shoppers will get $100 off when they spend $300 or more by using the code, “HELLOSUN.”

Sanctuary Clothing

Customers can save $25 on every $100 they spend by using the code, “JULY18,” at check out.

Mimi’s Cafe

Starting at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, customers who say, “free funnel cake” to their server will receive a free funnel cake. However, they must purchase an adult entrée, and the offer is only good while supplies last. Not interested in a funnel cake? Sign up for Mimi’s E-Club to receive a free 2-pack of muffins or croissants.
